Project Manager 5 (Senior Project Manager, Nuclear Energy)

Location: Houston, Texas, United States; remote work may be considered within the contiguous United States. Preference is for work from the Houston or Corvallis offices. Approved remote work requires significant travel of up to 50% to support both office locations.

Target base salary: $150,537–$181,683 annually. Full base salary range: $134,964–$211,098 annually.

What you will do

• Lead one or more high-complexity nuclear programs across design, procurement, manufacturing, construction, commissioning, startup, and operational turnover.
• Own project performance against scope, schedule, budget, earned value, risk, and execution baselines.
• Develop and maintain Project Management Plans aligned with company standards.
• Establish governance routines, executive reviews, status reporting, variance analysis, and corrective actions.
• Identify and resolve issues affecting critical paths, licensing milestones, regulatory interfaces, and project readiness.
• Align engineering, procurement, construction, suppliers, A/E firms, EPC partners, and internal functions around an integrated plan.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Construction Management required; MBA preferred.
• PMI, PMP, or equivalent project management certification required.
• At least 15 years of project or program management or technical leadership experience in the nuclear sector or complex energy infrastructure.
• Experience with FOAK/NOAK deployment, licensed nuclear design projects, PWR designs, NSSS interfaces, and multidisciplinary plant integration.
• Expertise in PMI/PMBOK practices, ANSI/EIA-748-C EVMS, schedule logic, estimating, integrated cost and schedule control, technical baselines, and design control.
• Must be eligible to work under Department of Energy 10 CFR Part 810.

Nice to have

• MBA degree.
• Experience with US Department of Energy nuclear projects, power plant A/E or EPC organizations, and senior or executive stakeholder alignment.
