Structural Engineering Professional (Associate / Licensed PE)

Location: Coraopolis, Pennsylvania, United States; remote/hybrid arrangement with periodic field walks when required.

Salary: $99,800 per year.

What you will do

• Independently evaluate, select, and adapt engineering techniques for conventional and complex structural analysis and design.
• Design and analyze traditional steel and reinforced concrete structural systems using IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, and AISC requirements, including advanced wind, lateral, and seismic provisions.
• Take ownership of assigned structural scopes, managing schedule, budget, quality, scope changes, and required effort.
• Perform rigorous self-checks and independent peer calculation reviews.
• Coach and mentor junior engineers, designers, and drafters while providing technical direction.
• Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, plumbing, civil, structural, project management, and BIM teams to produce accurate construction documents and models.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Structural Engineering. A master's degree is preferred.
• Active Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• At least 4 years of professional structural engineering experience.
• Comprehensive working knowledge of US building codes and standards, including IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, and AISC.
• Hands-on experience with structural engineering analysis software, Navisworks, and Bluebeam.
• Proven experience designing and analyzing traditional steel and reinforced concrete structures.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong interpersonal abilities, technical leadership aptitude, and team collaboration skills.
• Reliable home internet connectivity and the ability to perform periodic field walks, including climbing ladders, accessing raised floors, and standing for extended periods when required.

Nice to have

• Master of Science in Civil Engineering with a Structural emphasis or a dedicated master's degree in Structural Engineering.
• Experience designing structures for specialized industrial, manufacturing, or advanced technology facilities.
• Experience leading small project teams or mentoring junior technical staff.
