Structural Engineering Professional (Associate / Licensed PE)

Location: Coraopolis, Pennsylvania, United States; remote/hybrid arrangement with periodic field walks required

Salary: $99,800–$133,100 annually

What you will do

• Perform independent structural analysis and design for conventional and complex projects.
• Design and analyze traditional steel and reinforced concrete structural systems.
• Apply IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, and AISC provisions, including advanced wind, seismic, and lateral design.
• Own assigned structural scopes and manage schedule, budget, quality, and scope changes.
• Coordinate structural requirements with mechanical, electrical, plumbing, civil, and BIM teams.
• Review peer calculations, provide technical mentorship, and improve engineering workflows and design tools.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Structural Engineering.
• Active Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• At least 4 years of professional structural engineering experience.
• Working knowledge of US building codes and standards, including IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, and AISC.
• Experience with structural engineering analysis software, Navisworks, and Bluebeam.
• Strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal, technical leadership, and collaboration skills; reliable home internet and ability to perform periodic field walks.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in Civil Engineering with a structural emphasis or a Master’s in Structural Engineering.
• Experience designing structures for specialized industrial, manufacturing, or advanced technology facilities.
• Experience leading small project teams or mentoring junior technical staff.
