Associate Principal Engineer (Renewable Civil)

What you will do

• Act as a subject matter expert on complex civil and structural projects for power substations and generating plants.
• Review detailed physical, civil, and structural designs, including grading, foundations, and structural steel.
• Create and enforce technical standards and best practices across the department.
• Perform QA/QC on designs, specifications, and submittals to ensure accuracy and code compliance.
• Prepare structural models, calculations, and project reports including cost estimates and proposals.
• Conduct field inspections and provide construction supervision as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Civil Engineering Technology from an accredited institution.
• 7+ years of relevant engineering or field experience.
• Active PE license is required.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, MathCAD, SAP2000, and PLS-CADD.
• Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
• Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to mentor team members.
