Structural Engineer (Renewable Structural)

Location: Fully remote or in-office in Lakewood, Colorado; applicants must be authorized to work full-time in the United States.

Salary: $85,000–$110,000 per year

What you will do

• Lead structural design for renewable generation facilities and utility, industrial, and commercial substations.
• Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, resources, risks, and client communication.
• Design and review steel structures, drilled piers, footings, slabs, mat foundations, and related components.
• Produce technical specifications, calculations, design packages, cost estimates, proposals, studies, and budget reports.
• Perform initial QA/QC reviews, check work from designers and field personnel, and coordinate engineering deliverables.
• Conduct field inspections and construction supervision while mentoring junior team members.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, or Civil Engineering Technology from an accredited institution.
• 0–2 years of relevant engineering or field experience.
• Strong understanding of structural analysis, including steel, concrete, and foundation design.
• Familiarity with corrosion analysis of steel piles and applicable engineering codes and standards.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including Project, plus strong written, oral, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
• Current authorization to work full-time in the United States is required.

Nice to have

• FE or PE licensure.
• Experience with AutoCAD, SAP2000, L-Pile, MathCad, PLS-CADD, STAAD, Revit, or Risa3D.
• Knowledge of ASCE 7, IBC, ACI, AISC, ANSI, ASTM, IEC, and IEEE standards.
