TL;DR
Structural Engineer (Renewable Structural): Leading the structural design of renewable generation and utility substation facilities with an accent on steel structures, foundation design, and project phase management. Location: Must be authorized to work in the United States. Available as fully remote or onsite in Lakewood, CO.
Salary: $85,000 – $110,000 per year.

What you will do
- Oversee project planning, scheduling, and coordination for substation projects.
- Perform detailed structural design for utility, industrial, and commercial substations.
- Conduct structural analysis and modeling for steel structures, foundations, and concrete slabs.
- Lead the production and initial QA/QC review of comprehensive design packages.
- Prepare technical documentation, cost estimates, and proposals.
- Provide mentorship to junior team members and coordinate with internal stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering Technology.
- 0–2 years of relevant engineering or field experience.
- Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
- Strong understanding of structural analysis, including steel, concrete, and foundation design.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Effective written and oral communication skills.
Nice to have
- FE or PE licensure.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, SAP2000, L-Pile, MathCad, or PLS-CADD.
- Understanding of ASCE 7, IBC, ACI, AISC, ANSI, ASTM, IEC, and IEEE standards.
