Entry-level Structural Engineer

Location: Hybrid role based in Lakewood, Colorado, United States; travel up to 10%.

Salary: $80,000–$102,000 USD per year, plus performance-based bonuses.

What you will do

• Design and manage industrial and commercial building projects throughout the full project life cycle, from kickoff through construction documentation and oversight.
• Join and lead project teams in building design and non-building structures studios.
• Prepare complete and technically accurate engineering reports, calculations, drawings, and construction documents.
• Support clients with technical design issues, document coordination, and submittals.
• Use RISA, Enercalc, RAM, Bluebeam, and Revit to produce construction drawings.

Requirements

• ABET-accredited bachelor's degree in structural engineering, civil engineering, or a related field.
• Registered Engineer-in-Training (EIT).
• 0–3 years of consulting structural engineering experience focused on industrial and commercial buildings.
• Experience designing concrete, masonry, steel, timber, and foundations.
• Strong time management skills, self-direction, and the ability to learn from and collaborate with other team members.

Nice to have

• Experience with mission-critical facilities and structures.
• Knowledge of seismic design categories D, E, and F, extreme wind loading, or blast-resistant structures.
