Teamcenter Functional Architect (Siemens Teamcenter)

Location: Remote within the United States; travel of up to 10% to customer, subcontractor, and office locations may be required.

What you will do

• Lead functional solution architecture and PLM strategy discussions for Siemens Teamcenter and the Siemens Xcelerator portfolio.
• Translate business requirements and engineering workflows into scalable Teamcenter configurations, data models, workflows, lifecycle processes, and integrations.
• Design end-to-end digital thread processes connecting Teamcenter with ERP, MES, ALM, supply chain, and other enterprise systems.
• Architect BMIDE configurations, ITK extensions, SOA services, workflow automation, business rules, validation frameworks, and reporting solutions.
• Guide developers and engineers, estimate implementation effort, diagnose complex issues, and conduct unit, integration, and system testing.
• Create architecture documentation, capability roadmaps, demonstrations, training, and end-user support materials.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship and an active U.S. national security clearance, or the ability to obtain and maintain one, are required.
• Current Siemens Teamcenter certifications, a bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or another engineering discipline.
• At least 5 years of Siemens Teamcenter PLM experience and at least 3 years in business process architecture, PLM consulting, or functional solution design.
• Strong Teamcenter configuration and administration experience, including workflows, lifecycle management, security models, Active Workspace or Rich Client extensions, and enterprise integrations.
• Strong programming skills with Java, JSP, J2EE, XML, JSON, and HTML5, plus experience with data migration and system transition initiatives.
• Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, documentation, facilitation, problem-solving, and solution architecture skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with Teamcenter Dispatcher, batch utilities, migration tools, installation, patching, upgrades, licensing, and performance troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of Oracle or SQL Server, SQL scripting, AWS, Linux and Red Hat Enterprise Linux, shell scripting, Git, CI/CD, and security scanning tools.
• Experience with Agile certifications, aerospace and defense programs, DoD software policies, cybersecurity requirements, RMF compliance, or CompTIA Security+.
