Quality Inspector (Aerospace)

Location: Teal Drones, Salt Lake City, Utah, United States; onsite work in large indoor and outdoor facilities

What you will do

• Perform visual, dimensional, and functional inspections of incoming materials.
• Use calipers, micrometers, pin gauges, and other inspection tooling to assess products.
• Conduct functional and parameter testing on electronic assemblies.
• Document nonconformances, complete containment actions, and maintain inspection records.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, purchasing, and inventory teams on inspection points and quality feedback.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–5 years of experience in consumer product quality control.
• Experience with aerospace goods and/or electronic component manufacturing.
• Familiarity with inspection methodologies and standards such as AQL sampling.
• Ability to read technical drawings and specifications, including GD&T.
• Proof of U.S. citizenship or permanent residence is required for ITAR/EAR-controlled work, and sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• IPC-A-610 certification and familiarity with IPC J-STD-001.
• Experience in ESD-controlled environments, internal auditing, or AS9100/ISO 9001-certified companies.
• STEM associate or bachelor's degree.
• FAA Part 107 certification.
• Knowledge of mechanical and electrical components, manufacturing processes, or test plans.
