TL;DR
Project Engineer (Senior / Staff) – Power & Automation (Power Systems and Industrial Automation): Evaluating, designing, constructing, and optimizing power, automation, process, and mechanical systems for critical energy infrastructure with an accent on reliability, safety, maintenance, and system integration. Focus on turbine selection, fuel gas systems, balance of plant, MOC, outage planning, and leading complex engineering initiatives.

Location: OK Tulsa - Headquarters, United States; hybrid work is available for most office roles.

What you will do

  • Lead complex engineering work across power, automation, facility, process, and mechanical systems.
  • Evaluate, design, construct, optimize, and troubleshoot new and existing facilities and equipment.
  • Analyze system performance and implement reliability, availability, efficiency, and maintenance improvements.
  • Support power and automation initiatives, including turbine selection, fuel gas systems, balance of plant, PLCs, monitoring systems, and system integration.
  • Lead or contribute to design reviews, management of change, permitting, construction, outage planning, maintenance, and implementation activities.
  • Develop engineering standards, communicate technical recommendations, manage project resources, and mentor engineers and technical staff.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited institution, or a relevant engineering technology degree with a Professional Engineer license.
  • Power plant development experience and experience with industrial infrastructure, power systems, and/or automation environments.
  • 8+ years of relevant engineering experience for the Senior level; 15+ years of progressive experience for the Staff level.
  • Experience with system performance analysis, reliability improvements, maintenance programs, outage coordination, and operational systems.
  • Ability to work independently, lead technical efforts, communicate with stakeholders, and support cross-functional delivery.
  • Work is based at the Tulsa headquarters with a hybrid arrangement for most office roles.

Nice to have

  • Professional Engineer license or a master’s degree in engineering.
  • Operational power plant experience.
  • Project management and Pre-FEED, FEED, or EPC project experience.
  • Experience developing training programs, supporting technical skill development, or improving MOC processes.
