Salary: $102,900–$144,400 per year

What you will do

• Apply fundamental concepts and procedures related to electric power systems and SEL products.
• Train and assist customers with the design, configuration, validation, installation, commissioning, and operation of automation and protection systems.
• Deliver assigned engineering work within the agreed scope, schedule, budget, quality, and safety requirements.
• Participate in functional design specification preparation and maintain design documents, reports, checklists, test reports, and other deliverables.
• Collaborate with customers and engineering teams while learning new skills and taking on additional responsibilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a relevant discipline.
• At least 2 years of relevant application experience with electric power systems and focus-area practices.
• Knowledge of power system protection and control, integration, automation, communications, protective relays, and related applications.
• Working knowledge of power system design, studies, information and communication technology, and protective relay applications.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally at least 25% of the time.
• Strong writing, documentation, speaking, teamwork, and learning skills; satisfactory background check and negative drug test required.

Nice to have

• Engineer in Training certificate.
• Experience in electrical utilities, industrial plants, consulting engineering, or system integration.
• Project engineering experience and familiarity with Vision or other project management tracking software.
