I&E Engineer (Automation)

What you will do

• Develop technical design packages for facilities and well pads, including PLC and panel design, cable schedules, grounding, device selection, and cause-and-effect documentation.
• Support and optimize standard electrical and automation drawings and specifications for greenfield and brownfield assets.
• Manage the arc flash program and provide electrical and automation support, including reliability improvements and failure investigations.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to align projects with drilling, completions, and power generation requirements.
• Manage capital projects, including AFEs, bid documents, budgets, forecasts, cost tracking, cash flow, and financial KPIs.
• Identify production schedule risks, communicate them to leadership, and support training and adoption of emerging automation technologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Automation, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• At least five years of experience in electrical and automation engineering.
• Advanced Allen-Bradley automation knowledge.
• Knowledge of applicable safety, environmental, and industry standards, including API, IEEE, ANSI, NFPA 70/70E, and ISA.
• Ability to solve complex problems, maintain high-quality work, communicate effectively with stakeholders, and work independently.

Nice to have

• Experience configuring RTU and EFM software packages and systems.
