What you will do

• Perform structural analysis and design for traditional steel and reinforced-concrete structures under general supervision.
• Apply US building codes and standards to lateral systems, including wind and seismic load design.
• Coordinate structural criteria and requirements with structural designers, BIM/CAD modelers, and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Check personal work and review calculations prepared by other engineers.
• Own assigned portions of structural project scopes, tracking workload, budgets, schedules, and scope changes.
• Conduct periodic site and field walks, including facility evaluations and access to raised floors or ladders when needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering with a structural engineering emphasis; a master’s degree is preferred.
• Active Engineer-in-Training certification and at least 2 years of professional structural engineering experience.
• Working knowledge of US building codes and standards, including IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, and AISC.
• Strong foundation in structural analysis, steel design, and reinforced concrete.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal skills, initiative, and attention to detail.
• Ability to perform occasional field walks involving climbing ladders, accessing raised floors, and extended standing or walking.

Nice to have

• Master of Science in Civil Engineering with a structural emphasis or a master’s degree in Structural Engineering.
• Experience with STAAD.Pro, RAM, SAP2000, Navisworks, and Bluebeam.
• Experience designing and analyzing structures for industrial, advanced technology, or commercial projects.
