Structural Engineer (Branch Engineer)

Location: Riverside, California, United States; domestic travel up to 15% required, with services provided across Southern California, Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico, and Hawaii. Relocation may be considered.

Salary: $81,100–$129,800 per year.

What you will do

• Provide technical assistance to customers and inside and outside sales teams through written and verbal communication.
• Travel with outside sales to support customers, deliver technical presentations, conduct job-site visits, research applications, and observe product installations.
• Present building-code provisions and practical designs using hirify.global products, with a strong focus on wood-frame connectors and fasteners.
• Develop and review catalogs, technical bulletins, fliers, engineering letters, and other technical literature.
• Coordinate demonstration and investigative testing in the R&D laboratory, document results, and maintain a safe testing environment.
• Participate in industry associations, technical committees, presentations, and technical publications.

Requirements

• California Licensed Professional Civil Engineer (PE) required.
• B.S. degree in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering.
• At least 3 years of related structural consulting experience, including light-framed wood, steel, and concrete design under a licensed PE or SE.
• Practical knowledge of light-framed wood and concrete construction and associated design methods.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers, management, engineers, architects, builders, and building officials, including large-group presentations.
• Driving record must comply with company policy; domestic travel up to 15% is required.

Nice to have

• California Licensed Structural Engineer (SE) license.
• Knowledge of masonry, cold-formed steel, mass timber, connectors, lateral systems, anchors, Strong-Walls, and fasteners.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Bluebeam Revu, hirify.global software, SAP, Smartsheet, or Salesforce.
