What you will do

• Perform conventional and complex structural analysis and design under general supervision.
• Apply IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, and AISC requirements to traditional steel and reinforced concrete structures, including wind and seismic design.
• Coordinate structural criteria and requirements with designers, BIM models, contract documents, and mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and civil engineering teams.
• Conduct self-checks, peer reviews, and independent calculation checks to maintain design quality.
• Own assigned structural scopes, managing time, resources, schedules, budgets, quality requirements, and scope changes.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, designers, and drafters.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Structural Engineering.
• Active Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• At least 4 years of professional structural engineering experience.
• Working knowledge of US building codes and standards, including IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, and AISC.
• Hands-on experience with structural engineering analysis software, Navisworks, and Bluebeam.
• Experience designing and analyzing traditional steel and reinforced concrete structures.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong interpersonal abilities, and aptitude for technical leadership and team collaboration.

Nice to have

• Master of Science degree in Civil Engineering with a Structural emphasis or a dedicated Master’s in Structural Engineering.
• Experience designing and analyzing structures for industrial, advanced manufacturing, or complex commercial facilities.
• Experience leading small project teams or guiding junior technical staff.
