Location: Columbia, Maryland, United States; approximately 35% domestic travel to project sites throughout the United States.

Salary: $92,643–$120,495 USD per year.

What you will do

• Perform professional-level fire protection engineering services.
• Provide life safety code consulting and code compliance reviews.
• Design fire protection systems, including fire alarm and sprinkler systems.
• Develop special hazard system design criteria.
• Use design and simulation software to support engineering analyses.
• Travel domestically to project sites as required.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Fire Protection Engineering or a related field.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with fire alarm design, sprinkler system design, and special hazard system design criteria.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Pathfinder, CFAST, PyroSim, and CONTAMW.
• Demonstrated knowledge of fire protection equipment testing, smoke control modeling, and code compliance reviews through coursework or experience.
