What you will do

• Create and revise architectural and technical construction drawings under senior design supervision.
• Produce floor plans, riser diagrams, electrical interconnection drawings, and installation termination sheets.
• Prepare submittal packages, product data sheets, and calculation records.
• Maintain organized drawing files, directories, revision logs, and project documentation.
• Update and finalize as-built drawings from field markups and redline feedback.
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and field teams to meet quality and scheduling requirements.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Professional experience in drafting or construction documentation; electrical, mechanical, or low-voltage construction experience is strongly preferred.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD 2014 or newer.
• Working knowledge of Windows-based software and Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Strong organization, attention to detail, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work in an on-site, collaborative environment in Hauppauge, New York.

Nice to have

• Drafting experience with fire alarm systems, security integration, access control, or other low-voltage systems.
• Familiarity with electrical wiring principles and construction drawing conventions.
• Technical degree or coursework in computer drafting and design.
