What you will do
- Own the U.S. entity books and monthly close, including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, payroll entries, and close schedules.
- Manage U.S. payroll through a PEO, including updates, review, submission, and related accounting.
- Own commission calculations, payment coordination, billing-related accounting, revenue, and accounts receivable processes.
- Manage Mesh spend-management accounting, including coding, receipts, approvals, and NetSuite synchronization.
- Own U.S. sales tax and state reporting, including multi-state filings and coordination with advisors.
- Use AI and automation tools to reduce manual work, improve controls and reporting, and support audits, tax filings, compliance, and investor diligence.
Requirements
- 5+ years of accounting, controllership, or similar finance experience in a fast-growing SaaS startup.
- CPA qualification and strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
- Experience owning the books of a U.S. entity and managing monthly close, reconciliations, accruals, and financial reporting.
- Hands-on NetSuite experience, plus strong Excel and Google Sheets skills.
- Experience managing U.S. payroll, preferably through a PEO, as well as commissions or sales compensation processes.
- Familiarity with U.S. sales tax, multi-state reporting, spend-management tools, audits, tax filings, management, and working with C-level executives.
Nice to have
- Experience with Chargebee, HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar systems.
- Experience supporting investor diligence.
- Experience building a fast-growing finance team.
