What you will do

• Lead the core accounting leadership team, including Assistant Controller, GL, AR, Payroll, and Tax.
• Scale AI and automation across the accounting function to create operating leverage and reduce manual work.
• Modernize and optimize a disciplined 5-day close process to increase speed and accuracy.
• Establish a high-performance operating model with clear decision rights and increased accountability.
• Drive cross-functional execution across Product, Finance, Tax, Legal, and Systems teams.
• Prepare accounting systems and controls for international expansion and increasing transaction volumes.

Requirements

• 10+ years of progressive accounting leadership in high-growth environments.
• Must be based in the United States.
• Strong technical depth in ASC 606, ASC 842, ASC 718, and multi-entity consolidations.
• An AI-native, automation-forward operating style with a track record of reducing manual effort.
• CPA certification is strongly preferred.

Nice to have

• Experience in travel, marketplace, fintech, or payment card programs.
• Proficiency with NetSuite and modern close, reconciliation, and BI tools.
• International accounting experience, including FX, VAT/GST, and transfer pricing.
