Software Engineer (Backend)

What you will do

• Develop containerized microservices for a distributed multi-tenant system processing real-time cloud data and network telemetry.
• Design service architecture, defend designs, and deliver solid implementations.
• Mentor junior engineers, new graduates, and interns.
• Write code primarily in Go and work with data pipelines using SQL; leverage Kubernetes for infrastructure.
• Own critical features and the entire software development lifecycle from requirements to deployment and customer usage.
• Manage operational aspects to improve software supportability and quality.
• Collaborate with Product Management to refine requirements and exceed customer expectations.

Requirements

• Location: Must work on-site in Sunnyvale, California, United States
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent; Master’s degree is a plus.
• 2+ years experience building distributed and scalable software systems.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP at the API/programming level.
• Proficiency in Go and SQL; REST API client experience.
• Experience with Kubernetes and containerized services.
• General TCP/IP networking and Unix/Linux programming environment knowledge.

Nice to have

• Experience with CloudFormation, Terraform, Ansible.
• Networking and security controls experience.
