Software Development Engineer - Engineering Analysis Automation (Aerospace)

Base pay for Washington applicants: $164,652–$230,512.80 per year. Other site ranges may differ.

What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain AWS-based HPC infrastructure and engineering analysis workflows.
• Develop integrations and automation pipelines for third-party analysis tools such as Ansys and Altair.
• Build containerized development and execution environments for Linux and macOS.
• Develop APIs, services, and job orchestration layers using technologies such as Slurm and OpenMPI.
• Maintain Blue Analysis Templates and supporting engineering toolchains.
• Implement CI/CD and DevOps practices while collaborating with engineers across disciplines.

Requirements

• U.S. employment eligibility under export control regulations is required.
• BA/BS in computer science, information science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 7+ years of hands-on software development experience with production systems.
• Strong AWS infrastructure experience, especially with compute services such as EC2, Image Builder, or ParallelCluster.
• Proficiency in Java, Python, or C#.
• Experience with Linux administration, Docker, build pipelines, HPC concepts, REST APIs, Git, and DevOps practices.

Nice to have

• Experience with SOCA or AWS ParallelCluster.
• Familiarity with engineering analysis workflows or CAE tools.
• Experience supporting macOS and Linux environments in parallel.
• Exposure to video streaming, real-time data pipelines, or gateway services.
• Interest in applying AI/ML to analysis automation.
