Software Development Engineer - Engineering Analysis Automation (HPC/AWS)

Base pay for Washington applicants: $164,652.00–$230,512.80 per year. Other site ranges may differ.

What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain AWS-based HPC infrastructure and workflows using EC2, ParallelCluster, and SOCA.
• Develop integrations and automation pipelines for engineering analysis tools such as Ansys and Altair.
• Build containerized development and execution environments for Linux and macOS.
• Develop APIs, services, and orchestration layers using technologies such as Slurm and OpenMPI.
• Maintain Blue Analysis Templates and supporting toolchains.
• Implement CI/CD and DevOps practices while collaborating with engineers across disciplines to reduce manual effort.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 7+ years of hands-on software development experience with production systems.
• Strong AWS cloud infrastructure experience, particularly with compute-oriented services.
• Proficiency in at least one of Java, Python, or C#.
• Experience with Linux administration, Docker, build pipelines, REST APIs, Git, and DevOps practices.
• Applicants must be U.S. citizens or nationals, U.S. permanent residents, refugees, or individuals granted asylum in the United States.

Nice to have

• Experience with HPC-as-a-service platforms, AWS ParallelCluster, or SOCA.
• Familiarity with engineering analysis workflows or CAE tools.
• Experience supporting macOS and Linux development environments in parallel.
• Exposure to video streaming, real-time data pipelines, or gateway services.
• Interest in applying AI/ML to analysis automation and efficiency.
