Location: Onsite at Vicinity Kendall, 265 1st St, Cambridge, Massachusetts, United States. Rotating shift schedule required.
Salary: $67.42 per hour

What you will do
- Operate combined-cycle generating facilities, turbines, generators, boilers, and auxiliary power plant equipment through control room interfaces and locally.
- Monitor plant conditions, take readings, maintain logs, report equipment issues, and document maintenance actions.
- Coordinate shift operations, market-demand requirements, maintenance activities, work clearances, and interfaces with commercial operations and external entities.
- Troubleshoot plant control systems and operate valves, circuit breakers, generator breakers, and high-voltage disconnects as required.
- Direct employees and contractors, coordinate work sequences and safety briefings, and oversee contracting crews.
- Ensure compliance with operating procedures, environmental permits, regulatory requirements, and safety programs, including lockout/tagout and confined-space procedures.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Active Massachusetts Second Class Engineer's License required.
- Massachusetts Grade 2 Industrial Wastewater Treatment License must be obtained within the first six months.
- At least six years of experience operating gas turbines, steam turbines, generators, heat recovery steam generators, high-pressure boilers, air compressors, water treatment equipment, and auxiliary systems.
- Knowledge of the relationship between plant operations and energy markets, basic computer literacy, and a good safety record.
- Ability to work rotating shifts and perform physically demanding work in confined spaces, elevated areas, high-noise environments, temperature extremes, and around high-pressure and rotating equipment.
Nice to have
- Ability to read and interpret Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
- Experience instructing and directing the activities of others.
