Senior Endpoint Systems Engineer (Hybrid: Chicago)

Location: Hybrid in Chicago, with 3 days on-site

Salary: $130,000–$145,000 annually for roles performed from Illinois; compensation may vary for California, Colorado, and New York.

What you will do

• Architect and manage the global unified endpoint management infrastructure across Microsoft Intune, Jamf Pro, and VMware Workspace ONE.
• Design automated deployment, provisioning, and configuration workflows for Windows and macOS devices.
• Develop zero-touch provisioning frameworks using Windows Autopilot, Apple Business Manager, and Automated Device Enrollment.
• Build PowerShell, Bash, Zsh, and Python automation for administrative tasks, reporting, and MDM API integrations.
• Engineer endpoint security baselines, encryption, EDR, antivirus deployments, and integrations with Entra ID and Okta.
• Lead complex escalations and endpoint engineering projects while mentoring service desk and junior systems administration staff.

Requirements

• 5–8+ years of experience in endpoint engineering, systems administration, or infrastructure architecture in an enterprise environment.
• Expert-level knowledge of both Windows and macOS operating systems and enterprise deployment methodologies.
• Hands-on experience managing Microsoft Intune, Jamf Pro, and Workspace ONE at scale.
• Strong proficiency in PowerShell and Bash/Zsh for advanced automation and MDM API usage.
• Ability to lead projects independently, collaborate across engineering teams, and communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

• Experience with Python or Swift.
