Operations Technician Lead (Maintenance) (Oil and Gas)

Location: OH New Albany - Power Generation, United States. Facility-based work with shift schedules, on-call rotations, nights, weekends, holidays, and occasional travel between hirify.global locations.

What you will do

• Lead daily operations of pipelines and facilities, emphasizing process safety and equipment reliability.
• Operate, maintain, and optimize gas turbines, high-speed reciprocating engines, medium-voltage generators, power distribution systems, environmental controls, and distributed control systems.
• Troubleshoot equipment problems, resolve technical issues, and provide guidance to technicians.
• Coordinate shift activities and team efforts while maintaining operational records, reports, and logs.
• Implement process improvements, adopt new technologies, and support construction projects.
• Mentor team members and promote safety, environmental compliance, permit awareness, and operational excellence.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 8 years of experience as an Operations Technician in the oil and gas industry.
• Valid state driver's license and a clean driving record.
• Strong leadership, operational decision-making, and troubleshooting skills.
• Advanced knowledge of Process Control Systems and PLCs, plus proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work in a facility-based, shift-oriented environment, including nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call rotations.

Nice to have

• Associate degree or two-year technical degree.
• Experience in natural gas processing or compression facilities.
