Auxiliary Operator

Location: Haverhill, Massachusetts, United States; onsite facility role with rotating shifts

What you will do

• Operate and inspect boilers, air pollution control systems, ash systems, and other power plant equipment in accordance with safety procedures.
• Monitor pumps, motors, fans, dampers, air compressors, valves, mixers, conveyors, turbine generators, and electrical devices.
• Read meters, gauges, and industrial measuring tools to identify trends and potential equipment disruptions.
• Perform material sampling, chemistry testing, and water treatment as required.
• Operate cranes, skid steers, loaders, forklifts, and other heavy industrial mobile equipment.
• Maintain correct refuse-fuel levels and appropriate refuse mixes in designated operational areas.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2–3 years of experience operating heavy industrial equipment.
• Must possess or be able to quickly obtain a Massachusetts 1C/2C Hoisting License.
• Ability to work a rotating shift schedule.
• Ability to walk, stand, sit, climb, lift and carry up to 50 pounds, work at heights and in confined spaces, wear a full-face respirator, and work in varying weather conditions.

Nice to have

• Second Massachusetts Fireman license or higher.
