Operations Technician Lead (Mechanical)

Location: OH New Albany - Power Generation, United States; field-oriented onsite work with shift schedules, on-call rotations, nights, weekends, holidays, and occasional travel between hirify.global locations.

What you will do

• Lead mechanical maintenance and repairs for engines, turbines, compressors, pipeline equipment, and facility systems.
• Troubleshoot mechanical failures and collaborate with technicians to restore equipment reliability.
• Coordinate shift operations, delegate mechanical work, and mentor team members in mechanical best practices.
• Support construction, commissioning, upgrades, and optimization of mechanical and power distribution systems.
• Apply technical standards, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements to mechanical operations.
• Maintain equipment records, logs, and technical reports to monitor performance and guide improvements.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• At least 8 years of experience as an Operations Technician in the oil and gas industry.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and leadership skills.
• Working knowledge of control systems and PLCs, plus proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Valid state driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Ability to work in a shift-based, field-oriented environment and in extreme temperatures, loud environments, enclosed spaces, and elevated areas.

Nice to have

• Associate degree or two-year technical degree.
• Experience with natural gas processing or compression facilities.
