Sr. Robotics Software Engineer, System Integration

What you will do

• Develop and maintain the software framework integrating perception, planning, locomotion, and manipulation on humanoid robot platforms.
• Define subsystem interfaces, communication patterns, and data contracts for modular development.
• Own system bring-up, sensor calibration, hardware validation, and integration workflows for new platform revisions.
• Graduate research prototypes into tested, maintainable, production-quality software.
• Design end-to-end integration and regression tests across hardware and simulation, including diagnostics, telemetry, and post-run analysis.
• Optimize real-time latency, throughput, and memory while implementing monitoring, fault handling, degraded modes, and autonomous recovery.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of hands-on robotics software development and integration experience with physical hardware.
• Strong proficiency in C++ and Python, including work in large, multi-language codebases.
• Strong ROS/ROS2 experience and understanding of real-time systems, inter-process communication, and resource-constrained embedded computing.
• Experience hardening prototype software with testing and fault handling.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, organizational, and independent-working skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with humanoid or legged robots, dexterous manipulation, motion planning, or whole-body control.
• Experience with computationally constrained platforms, CI/CD, automated testing, or robotics release engineering.
• Open-source contributions to robotics frameworks or tools.
• Experience deploying robots in unstructured environments such as construction, logistics, manufacturing, mining, or defense.
