Robotics Software Engineer

Location: 100% remote within the United States

Salary: $100,000–$150,000 annually

What you will do

• Design, build, and integrate software systems for autonomous robots and robotic platforms.
• Work across the robotics software stack, including low-level sensor integration, motion planning, perception, and behavioral systems.
• Collaborate with product, design, engineering, operations, and business stakeholders to translate ambiguous requirements into engineered solutions.
• Debug real-time and concurrent systems and support hardware integration and field tests.
• Contribute through code reviews, design reviews, documentation, and mentorship of junior engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• 10 or more years of robotics software engineering experience.
• Strong programming skills in C++ and Python, with production experience using ROS or ROS 2.
• Experience with perception, localization, motion planning, or control, plus sensor fusion and Kalman or particle filters.
• Experience with Gazebo, Isaac Sim, or MuJoCo, and strong debugging skills in real-time and concurrent systems.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States as a U.S. citizen, Green Card holder, EAD holder, or H-1B transfer candidate; new H-1B petitions cannot be sponsored.

Nice to have

• Advanced degree in Robotics or a related field.
• Experience with autonomous vehicles, drones, industrial automation, or safety-critical software such as ISO 26262 and IEC 61508.
• Familiarity with ML-based perception pipelines and open-source robotics contributions.
