SDK Platform Engineer (Robotics)

What you will do

• Develop and validate an SDK for humanoid and quadruped robots from multiple vendors.
• Own edge-side integration, hardware bring-up, vendor protocol integration, and on-device inference.
• Build the developer platform and tools, including the Skill Store, Console, and content creation tools.
• Develop web frontends, backend services, APIs, and verification workflows for real robots.
• Build simulation environments and train, evaluate, and deploy motion policies on physical robots as the roadmap advances.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience in computer science, electrical engineering, automation, robotics, mathematics, or a related field.
• Experience building SDKs, libraries, APIs, embedded systems, or hardware-software integrations.
• Production-level Python or C/C++ skills with testing experience.
• Strong Linux development and deployment knowledge, including systemd, networking, and log forensics.
• Experience with a robotics middleware or communication stack such as ROS 2, DDS, MQTT, zenoh, or gRPC.
• Hands-on experience bringing up hardware, integrating vendor protocols, and diagnosing failures on site.

Nice to have

• Experience with multi-vendor hardware abstraction layers and conformance or certification test suites.
• Embedded debugging using I2C, SPI, UART, CAN, USB, logic analyzers, or oscilloscopes.
• Edge-AI deployment with quantization, ONNX, TensorRT, or NPU technologies.
• Robot simulation and learning experience with MuJoCo, Isaac, Gazebo, reinforcement learning, imitation learning, motion retargeting, or humanoid whole-body control.
• Full-stack web development with React, TypeScript, Python, FastAPI, Node.js, PostgreSQL, OAuth/OIDC, AWS, and frontend testing.
