Robotics Software Engineer

Location: 100% remote within the United States

Salary: $80,000–$104,000 annually

What you will do

• Design, build, and integrate software systems for autonomous robots and robotic platforms.
• Work across the robotics software stack, including sensor integration, motion planning, perception, and behavioral systems.
• Develop and debug real-time and concurrent systems using C++ and Python.
• Apply robotics frameworks, sensor fusion, and filtering techniques in production systems.
• Support field tests and hardware integration.
• Collaborate with product, design, engineering, operations, and business stakeholders; contribute to code reviews, design reviews, and mentorship.

Requirements

• Must be authorized to work in the United States as a U.S. citizen, Green Card holder, EAD holder, or H-1B transfer candidate.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• At least five years of robotics software engineering experience; the position lists seven or more years of experience.
• Strong programming skills in C++ and Python, with production experience using ROS or ROS 2.
• Experience with perception, localization, motion planning, or control, plus sensor fusion and Kalman or particle filters.
• Experience with simulation environments such as Gazebo, Isaac Sim, or MuJoCo, along with strong communication, documentation, and debugging skills.

Nice to have

• Advanced degree in Robotics or a related field.
• Experience with autonomous vehicles, drones, industrial automation, or safety-critical software standards such as ISO 26262 and IEC 61508.
• Familiarity with machine-learning-based perception pipelines.
• Open-source contributions in robotics.
