TL;DR
Embedded Robotics Engineer (Robotics): Designing, building, and integrating software systems for autonomous robots across the full robotics stack with an accent on sensor integration, motion planning, perception, and real-time systems. Focus on sensor fusion, debugging concurrent systems, supporting hardware integration and field tests, and mentoring engineers through production-quality development.

Location: 100% remote within the United States

Salary: $125,000–$145,000 annually

What you will do

  • Design, build, and integrate software systems for autonomous robots and robotic platforms.
  • Work across low-level sensor integration, motion planning, perception, localization, control, and behavioral systems.
  • Translate ambiguous requirements into production-ready engineering solutions with cross-functional partners.
  • Debug real-time and concurrent systems and support hardware integration and field tests.
  • Contribute through code reviews, design reviews, technical documentation, and mentorship of junior engineers.

Requirements

  • At least five years of robotics software engineering experience; six or more years preferred for the position.
  • Strong programming skills in C++ and Python.
  • Production experience with ROS or ROS 2.
  • Experience in at least one of perception, localization, motion planning, or control.
  • Knowledge of sensor fusion and Kalman or particle filter techniques, plus experience with simulation environments such as Gazebo, Isaac Sim, or MuJoCo.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States; new H-1B visa petitions cannot be sponsored.

Nice to have

  • Advanced degree in Robotics or a related field.
  • Exposure to autonomous vehicles, drones, or industrial automation.
  • Experience with safety-critical software standards such as ISO 26262 or IEC 61508.
  • Familiarity with ML-based perception pipelines or open-source robotics contributions.
