What you will do

• Own product areas end-to-end, from problem framing and research through shipped and validated experiences.
• Design AI-powered intelligence layers, including model outputs, confidence scoring, explainability, and human-in-the-loop review.
• Design workflows that help pathologists interpret, trust, override, and act on AI-generated insights.
• Conduct user research through observation, interviews, and usability testing with pathologists and scientists.
• Create information architectures, process flows, wireframes, high-fidelity designs, illustrations, iconography, and data visualization styles.
• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and scientists while contributing to the product design system and occasional marketing assets.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience as a Product or UI/UX Designer.
• Required experience designing AI- or ML-driven product experiences, including model confidence, explainability, human-in-the-loop review, and user trust.
• Proficiency with design software such as Figma.
• Portfolio demonstrating end-to-end product design and strong visual design skills in typography, layout, illustration, or iconography.
• Experience with web applications, design systems, shared component libraries, and cross-functional communication.
• Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

Nice to have

• Experience with regulated medical device software and human factors standards such as IEC 62366 and FDA usability guidance.
• Knowledge of scientific, healthcare, or laboratory workflows.
• Experience or coursework in graphic design, illustration, or visual/brand design.
• Comfort with Illustrator or Photoshop.
