Product Designer, People Products (AI)

Location: San Francisco, CA or New York City, NY; hybrid attendance in an Anthropic office is required at least 25% of the time.

Annual salary: $260,000–$385,000 USD.

What you will do

• Design AI-native workflows across hiring, onboarding, teamwork, promotions, and other people processes.
• Shape the strategy, vision, and roadmaps for internal People Products tools.
• Define feature areas and create polished, consistent, trust-building user interfaces.
• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, HR teams, recruiters, managers, and other internal stakeholders.
• Rapidly prototype concepts using front-end code and other methods, moving ideas from prototype to production.
• Ship high-quality products in a fast-paced, ambiguous, and resource-constrained environment.

Requirements

• Experience designing complex workflows, enterprise/B2B SaaS, or people products.
• A strong portfolio demonstrating user-centric design thinking, polished UI craftsmanship, and innovative interaction patterns.
• Experience delivering large and complex products end to end in ambiguous environments.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills, including influencing without authority.
• Experience with prototyping, particularly using front-end code such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education, training, or professional experience in a relevant field.

Nice to have

• Experience designing AI-native interfaces and workflows.
• Experience using Claude Code, Claude Design, or similar AI tools in the design process.
• Ability to balance rapid experimentation with detailed visual and interaction polish.
