Staff Software Engineer (Portfolio Management)

Location: New York, NY; hybrid. Must be authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.

Salary: $200,500–$251,000 annual starting range, plus company stock plan and benefits.

What you will do

• Build complex, high-quality applications for the Trade Order Management solution.
• Apply trading-domain knowledge and quantitative expertise to design valuation and portfolio management solutions.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirements and design reviews.
• Shape and optimize AWS backend services for robust, scalable applications.
• Create developer automation that supports scalable, high-quality enterprise software.
• Coach and mentor product engineers while advocating pragmatic design and development practices.

Requirements

• 8+ years of software engineering experience, including architecting and designing new products and technologies.
• Expert knowledge of Java or Kotlin, with Kotlin preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or an equivalent discipline.
• Experience with design patterns, OOAD/SOLID principles, and automated unit testing.
• Ability to independently navigate complex codebases, solve technical challenges, and communicate effectively.
• US work authorization without employer sponsorship is required.

Nice to have

• Experience engineering buy-side order management systems.
• Knowledge of complex financial instruments and their valuations.
• Background in mathematics.
