Core Engineer (AI)

Location: On-site in San Jose, California. Relocation support is available for candidates moving to San Jose.

Salary: $150,000–$275,000 estimated base salary per year, plus significant equity.

What you will do

• Identify organizational problems and inefficiencies and build custom applications and projects from scratch.
• Execute cross-functional special projects between the executive team and the wider organization.
• Collect company data, define operational milestones, develop business intuition, and deliver the work required to meet targets.
• Design interfaces, developer workflows, and critical infrastructure for the company’s technical foundation.

Requirements

• Strong full-stack engineering skills with TypeScript, React, and Python.
• 1–5 years of experience building and shipping software end to end.
• Product sense, AI tooling proficiency, and design taste.
• Ability to act decisively with incomplete information, continuously learn, set metrics, and work with minimal supervision.
• Experience solving problems involving data structures, storage systems, cloud infrastructure, and frontend frameworks.
• Willingness to work fully in person in San Jose and handle a demanding, non-9-to-5 schedule.

Nice to have

• Infrastructure or DevOps experience.
• Startup experience, especially in a hyper-growth environment.
• Experience deploying AI systems in enterprise environments.
