Senior Systems Engineer (Autonomous Vehicles)

Location: Colorado, Texas, Florida, South San Francisco, Texas City, Florida City, New York, Boston, Seattle, Atlanta, and Colorado City in the USA; Paris, Italy, Berlin, Amsterdam, Poland, Munich, Dublin, Frankfurt, Stockholm, and London in Europe; Toronto and Vancouver in Canada. Travel of up to 25% may be required.

What you will do

• Own the design, analysis, and verification and validation of assigned subsystems within an autonomous vehicle system architecture.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and deploy autonomous driving and robotic systems.
• Define and track KPIs and build data collection and analysis pipelines for verification and validation.
• Author and maintain requirements documentation, traceability, and system architecture artifacts.
• Define system behaviors for critical safety scenarios and identify risks, solutions, and mitigations.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to engineering practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mechatronics, Aerospace, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years of experience working on autonomous systems or safety-critical systems.
• Hands-on experience with systems engineering, including the V Model, requirements documentation, traceability, and verification and validation.
• Basic proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Experience with interdisciplinary teams developing and deploying robotic systems or autonomous vehicles with safety-critical components.
• Exposure to functional safety and SOTIF concepts, with strong technical communication skills.

Nice to have

• Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Experience with DOORS, Jama, Flow, Polarion, or Enterprise Architect.
• Working knowledge of ISO 26262, ISO 21448, UL 4600, IEC 61508, or ISO 3691.
