Supplier Development Engineer (Fusion Energy)

What you will do

• Collaborate with design engineers to understand part, assembly, and subsystem design intent.
• Assess supplier manufacturing processes and quality systems in partnership with procurement.
• Support product ramp from new product introduction through high-volume manufacturing.
• Define supplier technical and quality specifications and implement PPAP with selected suppliers.
• Develop process controls, receiving inspection processes, and quality standards.
• Coordinate supplier quality issue resolution and corrective actions across suppliers, engineering, procurement, and production.

Requirements

• 3+ years of engineering, manufacturing, or supply chain experience, including school projects, clubs, or internships, in mechanical or electrical systems.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering or a relevant field.
• Experience managing external suppliers.
• Knowledge of supplier quality processes, including PPAP, APQP, and first article inspection reports.
• Knowledge of statistical techniques such as design of experiments and Six Sigma, plus experience with ISO 9000 or TS quality systems.
• Ability to work on-site in Everett, WA and travel up to 50% of the time.
