Senior Supplier Development Engineer (Fusion Power)

What you will do

• Collaborate with design engineers to understand part, assembly, and subsystem design intent.
• Assess supplier manufacturing processes and quality systems in partnership with procurement.
• Support product ramp from new product introduction through high-volume manufacturing.
• Define supplier technical and quality specifications and implement production part approval processes.
• Develop process controls, receiving inspection standards, and supplier quality documentation requirements.
• Analyze supplier performance, coordinate issue resolution, and guide corrective actions for production and supply-chain defects.

Requirements

• 5+ years of engineering, manufacturing, or supply chain experience in mechanical or electrical systems, including relevant school projects, clubs, or internships.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering or a relevant field.
• Experience managing external suppliers.
• Knowledge of supplier quality processes, including PPAP, APQP, and first article inspection reports.
• Knowledge of statistical techniques such as design of experiments and Six Sigma, plus experience with ISO 9000 or TS quality systems.
• Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
