Supplier PCBA Manufacturing Engineer (AI Hardware)

Location: Taipei, Taiwan; on-site. Travel within Taiwan is required as needed.

What you will do

• Serve as the primary manufacturing engineering interface between hirify.global and contract manufacturing partners in Taiwan.
• Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and oversight for PCBA industrialization and production readiness.
• Support prototype, engineering validation, pilot, and production builds throughout NPI.
• Review SMT processes, including stencil printing, solder paste application, reflow, inspection, and assembly methods.
• Drive DfM, DfA, and DfT feedback for complex PCB layouts and assembly strategies.
• Monitor yield, defects, rework, and process stability while leading root cause investigations and corrective actions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, manufacturing, electrical engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent proven experience.
• 5+ years of experience in PCBA manufacturing engineering, SMT process engineering, NPI, or supplier manufacturing engineering.
• Strong knowledge of SMT assembly processes and inspection methods, including AOI, SPI, and X-ray.
• Experience supporting contract manufacturers or electronics manufacturing services providers.
• Experience with complex PCBAs, including fine-pitch BGAs, QFN, CSP, and high-density assemblies.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and fluent Mandarin are required.

Nice to have

• Experience with AI, server, networking, telecommunications, automotive, or other high-performance electronic products.
• Knowledge of IPC-A-610, IPC-7095, IPC-7351, or J-STD-001 standards.
• Experience with solder joint reliability, thermal management, PFMEA, control plans, or process capability analysis.
• Experience working with multinational engineering teams and influencing without direct authority.
