Staff Manufacturing Test Engineer (AI Hardware)

What you will do

• Develop and deploy board-level functional test modules for PCIe accelerator cards, including power-on sequencing, firmware loading, PCIe link training, enumeration, functional validation, and stress testing.
• Architect manufacturing test strategies for server platforms, including system integration, BMC/IPMC firmware validation, and multi-card orchestration.
• Create test plans, regression requirements, and test coverage assessments across the product lifecycle.
• Design scalable automated test infrastructure, analyze test data, reduce test times, and identify yield-limiting patterns.
• Partner with quality engineering teams on root cause analysis, corrective actions, product introductions, and new test solutions.
• Deploy test capabilities at manufacturing sites, train manufacturing partners, triage floor failures, and provide on-call support.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 10+ years of experience developing and deploying manufacturing test software in a high-volume hardware manufacturing environment.
• Direct board-level manufacturing test experience with PCIe cards, NICs, GPUs, or server/storage hardware.
• Strong knowledge of PCIe fundamentals, board-level power sequencing, functional test methodologies, test fixtures, JTAG/boundary scan, and in-system test.
• Proficiency in Python, Linux/Unix environments, shell scripting, command-line debugging, and test data analysis.
• Ability to lead technical initiatives, make architecture decisions, mentor engineers, and influence cross-functional teams.

Nice to have

• Experience with manufacturing operations at 100K+ units per year and OCP or hyperscaler hardware standards.
• Experience with BMC/IPMC firmware validation, Redfish interfaces, or server tray integration testing.
• Knowledge of statistical analysis tools, SPC/SQC, and quality methods such as 8D, FMEA, DOE, and fishbone analysis.
• Experience scaling test strategies from card-level to system-level products.
