Senior Manager of Electrical Engineering

Salary: $230,000–$270,000 per year

What you will do

• Lead the development of novel circuit designs and electrical hardware systems for fusion devices.
• Build and manage a high-performing electrical engineering team through mentorship, technical leadership, and execution management.
• Own the development of high-energy power circuits operating at kVDC, kVAC, kA, and MJ scales.
• Accelerate development of custom grid tie-in hardware and implementation of efficient off-the-shelf components.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve generator performance and reliability.
• Develop a roadmap toward mass production while optimizing scalability and cost.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related discipline.
• 10+ years of engineering experience and 3+ years of engineering management experience.
• Experience taking multidisciplinary problems from concept through design, manufacturing, testing, and deployment.
• Autonomous ownership of complex engineering projects, including schedule ownership.
• Exceptional leadership skills and experience managing engineers with diverse backgrounds and experience levels.
• Hands-on exposure to multiple electrical engineering disciplines, with strong first-principles thinking and analytical rigor.
