Traveling 3D Scanning Technician

Location: Must be based in the Chicago or Midwest region of the US. US work authorization is required.

Salary: $60,000 – $70,000 per year

What you will do

• Deliver high-quality on-site visual documentation using 360° photography, Matterport, LiDAR, and drone imagery.
• Execute reality capture projects across the U.S. with precision and attention to detail.
• Manage field operations, travel logistics, and project deliverables effectively.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure consistent visual standards.
• Contribute to the innovation and improvement of reality capture workflows.

Requirements

• US work authorization is required.
• Experience with Matterport and LiDAR scanning technologies.
• Proficiency in still photography and drone operation.
• FAA Part 107 certification or ability to obtain it quickly.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel extensively by car for multiple weeks at a time.
• Strong organizational skills and technical proficiency with field equipment.

Nice to have

• Experience in the architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) industry.
• Knowledge of 3D modeling and photogrammetry tools.
• Experience in client-facing or customer service roles.
