Project Engineer III (Clearance Required)

What you will do

• Lead and execute technical projects, ensuring successful integration of engineering solutions within cost & schedule constraints.
• Provide technical estimation support for Basis of Estimates and ensure compliance with technical specifications and quality standards.
• Conduct trade studies, lead technical evaluations, and provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
• Manage supplier coordination by developing and managing Statements of Work and coordinating with contracts and quality teams.
• Support Risk and Opportunity management on the project and resolve integration anomalies across mechanical, electrical, thermal, and software domains.
• Serve as a bridge between Engineering and Program Office, communicating project status to technical and programmatic audiences.

Requirements

• Active Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required.
• U.S. citizenship status is required to obtain/maintain the active U.S. Security Clearance.
• Requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field (or equivalent experience; or Master’s + 3 years experience).
• Typically 5+ years of related experience (or Master’s + 3 years experience).
• Knowledge of requirements management (parsing, derivation, allocation) and requirements baseline change impact assessments.
• Knowledge of systems architecture, systems integration, and Verification and Validation (V&V) principles.

Nice to have

• Prior experience with increasing responsibilities in project management.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
• Proficiency with project management software/tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
• Experience with CAD software and engineering design tools.
• Familiarity with Agile and Lean methodologies; experience with PLM and industry standards/regulations.
