Principal Electrical Engineer

Location: On-site in Everett, WA

Salary: $235,000 – $270,000 per year

What you will do

• Design, test, and troubleshoot high-voltage power systems for pulsed magnetic coils.
• Oversee the procurement, construction, and commissioning of systems delivering pulses up to 5 MA and 40 kV.
• Develop system architectures and collaborate on schematics and installation drawings.
• Lead design reviews to ensure cost-effective, scalable, and reliable solutions.
• Mentor electrical engineers and collaborate with cross-functional teams to build technical capability.

Requirements

• 12+ years of experience in power electronics, from design to delivery.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
• Hands-on experience designing, fabricating, installing, and testing electronic systems.
• Strong knowledge of solid-state switching technologies (IGBTs, MOSFETs, SCRs).
• Proficiency with tools such as LTSpice, SIMetrix/SIMPLIS, Altium, and MATLAB.
• Must be able to work on-site in Everett, WA.
