What you will do

  • Lead the specification, design, fabrication, testing, installation, commissioning, and ramp-up of high-volume manufacturing lines from RFQ through SOP.
  • Provide technical direction on equipment design and align process requirements with product design, controls engineering, quality assurance, and production operations.
  • Manage equipment integrators and suppliers while maintaining technical alignment, design standards, schedules, and cost targets.
  • Oversee FAT and SAT activities to verify functional, quality, and throughput requirements.
  • Drive improvements to OEE, cycle time, line reliability, and first-pass yield.
  • Lead complex manufacturing programs, identify risks early, and resolve ambiguous technical challenges.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of full-time industry experience with high-volume manufacturing processes and mass-production line launches.
  • Experience with framing, fastening, welding, dispensing and sealing, material handling, inspection systems, station and fixture design, GD&T, datum strategies, and tolerance stack-up analysis.
  • Knowledge of heavy-duty conveyance and automation, including indexed and free-flow pallet systems, AGV/AMR technologies, lift-assist systems, manipulators, robots, and gantries.
  • Experience leading PFMEA and DFM analyses, with strong communication and hands-on problem-solving skills.
  • Expertise in industrial painting or powder-coating process development, equipment selection, and line design.

Nice to have

  • Strategic relationships with equipment suppliers and integrators in general assembly, power electronics, battery pack, drive unit, or other high-volume manufacturing sectors.
  • Familiarity with medium-voltage electronics or grid-related products such as transformers, switchgear, converters, and circuit breakers.

Culture & Benefits

  • Collaborative environment focused on first-principles engineering and solving difficult technical problems.
  • Opportunities for personal, technical, and career growth.
  • Competitive compensation, equity, and benefits.
