Board Design Engineer

Location: On-site in Sunnyvale, California, United States

Salary: $150,000–$260,000 annually, plus potential bonus and equity

What you will do

• Lead printed circuit board design from definition and implementation through bring-up, qualification, and production release.
• Own electrical specifications, schematic design, component selection, and layout considerations.
• Perform extensive laboratory bring-up, board characterization, and electrical debugging.
• Develop automated benchtop test setups for board characterization.
• Collaborate with manufacturing operations, test engineering, supply chain, ASIC, mechanical, signal integrity, power delivery, layout, embedded, and diagnostics teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s, master’s, or Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 5–10 years of experience as a board design engineer; candidates with other experience levels may also be considered.
• Experience with digital circuits, power delivery, voltage regulators, and high-speed signal integrity.
• System-level understanding and familiarity with production environments.
• Proficiency with laboratory and test scripting software, such as Python.
• Self-directed, multidisciplinary, capable of multitasking, and effective in interpersonal collaboration.
