IT Scrum Master - DOD

Location: On-site at Schriever Space Force Base in Colorado Springs, CO, or Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, AL. Remote/telework is not available. Relocation assistance is not available.

Salary: $149,000–$174,000 annually, depending on experience, education, and directly related certifications.

What you will do

• Partner with the Release Train Engineer to define, mature, and align Scrum Master practices with SAFe frameworks and Agile release trains.
• Design, implement, and train IT teams on customized Agile processes in a greenfield environment.
• Facilitate Scrum ceremonies, Agile delivery rhythms, cross-team coordination, dependency management, and collaboration across Huntsville and Colorado Springs.
• Coach technical teams and organizations on Agile and Scrum practices, continuous improvement, collaboration, and accountability.
• Support Product Owners and Technical Leads with backlog maintenance, prioritization, user stories, capacity planning, velocity, and burndown tracking.
• Track impediments, risks, resource bottlenecks, delivery metrics, enterprise upgrades, IT service delivery, and cybersecurity compliance activities.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of general full-time work experience, potentially reduced with advanced education.
• At least 2 years of experience as a Scrum Master, Agile Coach, or Project Manager.
• Current Agile certification such as CSM, PSM I, or SAFe Scrum Master.
• Experience with Agile management and collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, or Azure DevOps, including support for remote and hybrid teams.
• Experience applying Agile methodologies to IT operations.
• Active DoW Secret Security Clearance required; ability to obtain an active DoW Top Secret Security Clearance required.

Nice to have

• Active DoD Top Secret Security Clearance.
• Experience with SAFe in a DoD or government contracting environment and collaboration with an RTE or Agile Coach.
• Technical experience in system administration, network engineering, or IT service management.
• Experience integrating ITIL change, incident, and problem management with Agile processes.
• DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification, familiarity with RMF, Secure Host Baselines, DISA STIGs, or advanced Agile certifications.
