AI and Azure Data Architect

Location: Must be based in the UK, with the expectation of travelling to the London or Newcastle office once every 1-3 months.

What you will do

• Design and assure solutions leveraging Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and the Microsoft Azure Data Platform.
• Act as a technical steward for AI and data platform capabilities.
• Deliver solutions using Azure services such as Synapse, Data Lake, Databricks, Fabric, and Cognitive Services.
• Develop and assure strategic roadmaps.
• Translate complex design concepts into clear messaging for senior stakeholders.

Requirements

• Expertise in Microsoft Azure Data Platform services including Synapse Analytics, Data Lake, Databricks, and Azure ML.
• Strong background in AI/ML solution architecture, MLOps, and model lifecycle management.
• Knowledge of modern data engineering practices, including pipelines, streaming, and event-driven architectures.
• Experience with cloud-native architectures, microservices, and SaaS integration.
• Proficiency in programming and scripting languages such as Python, SQL, R, or Spark.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of healthcare data standards like FHIR or HL7.
• Experience with AI ethics, explainable AI (XAI), and model risk management.
• Familiarity with TOGAF or other architectural frameworks.
