Senior BI Engineer

Location: EMEA; remote-first work with core hours from 10am–3pm in the local time zone

What you will do

• Partner with stakeholders to translate reporting requirements and business needs into scalable analytical solutions.
• Design, build, and maintain dashboards and reports using Metabase.
• Define, document, and maintain business metrics, KPIs, reporting standards, and business definitions.
• Develop and optimise SQL queries, semantic data models, and reporting datasets for self-service analytics.
• Validate data accuracy, investigate discrepancies, and resolve issues in collaboration with Data Engineers.
• Analyse business performance, identify trends, provide recommendations, and drive adoption of business intelligence solutions.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, Analytics Engineering, or a similar role.
• Advanced SQL skills and experience with large analytical datasets.
• Strong experience with Metabase or a similar business intelligence platform.
• Experience with Amazon Redshift and relational databases.
• Strong understanding of dimensional modelling, semantic layer design, business metrics, KPIs, and reporting standards.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, ownership, and problem-solving skills.
