Senior Analytics Engineer (dbt)

Location: Hybrid in Tbilisi or Limassol

What you will do

• Own the dbt project end to end, including transformations, reusable macros, shared modeling rules, and project conventions.
• Consolidate legacy transformations into unified and standardized data pipelines.
• Expand dbt tests and implement data quality checks across the Silver and Gold layers.
• Design golden-record determination and conflict-resolution strategies for master and reference data.
• Build and maintain the canonical data model, semantic Gold layer, and data catalog.
• Define transformation standards and deliver Gold-layer data to end consumers, including frontend integrations through internal systems.

Requirements

• 4–6 years of experience as an Analytics Engineer or Data Engineer.
• Expert-level dbt experience covering modeling, reusable macros, tests, project structure, and conventions across data sources such as RDBMS and S3.
• Advanced SQL skills, including query and engine-side optimization involving indexes, partitions, and data layout.
• Hands-on experience with data quality tooling such as dbt tests, Great Expectations, or Soda.
• Experience designing canonical and semantic layers, dimensional models, and database modeling patterns.
• Experience with master and reference data management, golden-record logic, and translating Go or Python logic into SQL.
