Contract Manufacturing Manager (AI Hardware)

Location: On-site in San Jose, CA

Compensation: $150,000 – $270,000 plus significant equity

What you will do

• Develop and execute global contract manufacturing strategies across L6, L10, and L11 levels.
• Identify, select, and manage relationships with CM, ODM, JDM, and EMS partners.
• Negotiate product costing, NRE, CapEx, and capacity commitments.
• Lead cross-functional efforts to ensure factory readiness for NPI and production ramps.
• Drive supplier performance regarding cost, quality, yield, and delivery.
• Present supplier strategy, risk assessments, and cost tradeoffs to executive leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, supply chain, operations, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in supply chain, manufacturing operations, or contract manufacturing.
• Proven ability to negotiate complex supplier agreements and scale global partnerships.
• Experience managing contract manufacturers for complex hardware like PCBAs, servers, or networking equipment.
• Strong understanding of NPI, pilot builds, and sustaining operations.
• Experience managing suppliers across Asia and working across global time zones.
