Senior Solution Engineer (Consumer Packaged Goods & Retail)

Location: Hybrid in Munich, Germany; candidates must be based in the DACH region or elsewhere in Europe and should be willing to travel approximately 25–35% to clients across the region.

What you will do

• Own solution engineering for enterprise opportunities in the Consumer Packaged Goods and Retail industry.
• Translate supply chain resilience, reporting, carbon management, product compliance, asset operations, and track-and-trace challenges into concrete solution scopes.
• Design and deliver vertical-specific demonstrations and lead end-to-end proofs of concept using realistic industry scenarios and KPIs.
• Guide customers through SAP and non-SAP integrations, functional RFPs, RFIs, security reviews, and IT integration topics.
• Partner with Account Executives on deal strategy, stakeholder mapping, competitive positioning, and technical value propositions.
• Feed industry insights into Product, mentor junior Solution Engineers, and contribute to enablement content and industry events.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in solution engineering, presales, technical consulting, or sales engineering for B2B enterprise SaaS, with relevant industry experience.
• Experience owning complex enterprise deals end-to-end, including proofs of concept and security reviews, with deal sizes above €250K.
• Strong technical fluency in REST APIs, SAP, SSO and identity management, cloud architecture, enterprise integration patterns, and basic data modeling.
• Ability to connect regulatory or operational challenges to ROI, TCO, and deployment roadmaps using relevant industry KPIs.
• Regular use of AI for research, demonstration preparation, and RFP work, with a clear perspective on AI-driven solution engineering.
• Native or near-native German and fluent English are required.

Nice to have

• Expertise in Supplier Intelligence, Carbon Accounting, Reporting, Traceability, or Product Compliance.
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA, SAP Ariba, Coupa, ServiceNow, or industry-specific platforms.
• Exposure to Agentic AI, industry events, SE team scaling, or enablement programs.
• Italian, Spanish, or French language skills.
